12/01 Concordia Rallies to Beat Redands 75-62.
Concordia rallied from six points down midway through the second half, and downed the University of Redlands 75-62. The Cobbers trailed 27-26 at halftime and the Bulldogs extended the margin to six with 10 minutes gone in the final half, but Concordia roared back in the end and won going away. Concordia senior Joe Snowden (St. Paul, MN) exploded for 23 points while fellow senior Stefan Swiat (Bullville, NY) sparked the team from the bench with 10 points. Five Concordia players scored in double figures as the Cobbers diversified the offense, and took the load off of leading scorer Jeff Ubben (Jr., Moorhead, MN) who found himself in foul trouble in the second half. Swiat replaced Ubben, after Ubben picked up his fourth foul in the middle of the second half, and proceeded to furnish the team with an offensive spurt that erased the Redland lead.
Concordia wins their second straight game and improves to 2-1 on the
year, while the Bulldogs fall to 1-3. The Cobbers will play for the championship
of the Lee Fullmer Tournament on Saturday at 10:00 pm (CT). The game can
