3/1 Adam Strainer Wins Second
Consecutive MIAC Pentathlon.
Concordia senior Adam Strainer (Sr., East Helena, MT) won his second
consecutive MIAC Pentathlon title with a school record breaking score of
3,574 points. That total was four points better than his own scool record
which he posted at last year's event. Strainer has now won consecutive
titles in last year's MIAC Indoor Pentathlon, last year's MIAC Decathlon
and this year's Indoor Pentahlon. That is the first time in school history
that anyone has won three-straight MIAC muti-event titles.
Concordia also placed three other athletes in the top ten in the conference. Joe Schmidgall (Jr., Morris, MN) finished fourth, Jeff Hertel (Sr., Fargo, ND) was seventh and Justin Gall (Sr., Moorhead, MN) placed ninth. Schmidgall's score of 3,440 is the third best in school history and also a personal record.
Concordia takes the strength of their four top-ten finishes from the
Pentathlon into this weekends MIAC Indoor Championship Meet at St. John's.
