Kris Sather Fr. Fosston, Minn. Had 11 kills in Concordia's four-game victory over St. Thomas.

Cobbers Step Up Play, Defeat St. Thomas 3-1.
Concordia wins 30-28, 21-30, 30-28, 30-27.
Concordia broke a four-match losing streak and remained unbeaten in MIAC play defeating St. Thomas 3-1 (30-28, 21-30, 30-28, 30-27). The Cobbers reversed the trend of losing close games in the end, by winning all three games by a combined seven points. Concordia won the first game 30-28 before dropping the second game 30-21. Concordia then rallied to pull off two tight games. In the fourth, and deciding, game Concordia led 27-16 before the Tommies went on an 8-0 run to close to within three at 27-24. The Cobbers regained their composure and proceeded to win three of the next six points to win the match.

Kris Sather (Fr., Fosston, Minn.) led the way for the Cobbers as she finished with 11 kills and one assist for the four-game match. Jessica Walden (Fr., Hawley, Minn) had a team-high 32 assists and fellow first year player Danielle Schmiesing (Villard, Minn.) chipped in 9 kills. Concordia improves to 2-0 in the MIAC and 4-8 overall, while St. Thomas remains winless in two attempts in the MIAC and drops to 9-4 overall. Concordia will travel to St. Olaf to play the Oles on Friday, September 21st at 7:30pm.
