Cobbers Sweep Again, Win St. Mary's Sugar Loaf Classic
Concordia continued their winning ways, completing a two-day sweep and winning the championship at the St. Mary's Sugar Loaf Classic. In Saturday's first game, the Cobbers swept Finlandia (MI) 3-0 (30-9, 30-23, 33-31), and followed that up by beating Lakeland (WI) in the championship game 3-1 (30-22, 28-30, 30-20, 20-17). With the two wins, the Cobbers improve their season record to an impressive 8-1.

Two individual players received tournament honors. Jessica Walden (So., Hawley, Minn.) was named tournament MVP and Kris Sather (So., Fosston, Minn.) was named to the all-tournament team.

The next action for the Cobbers will be to host the Concordia Tournament next weekend, Sept. 13-14.
