Cobbers Run Into Gustavus Juggernaut, Lose 9-0.
(Moorhead, Minn.)-- Concordia the 2003-04 season by losing 9-0 to MIAC powerhouse Gustavus. The Gusties have won the MIAC championship for the past 15 years, and proved that they are right on track to pick up their 16th straight.

The closest match of the day was at the number five singles match, where first-year player Paul Tuchscherer (Baxter, Minn., Brainerd HS) lost to Gustavus' Teddy Naaaif 6-3, 6-3. Tuchscherer teamed with Ryan Smith (Fr., Grand Forks, N.Dak./Red River) to give the Gusties number two double team all they could handle. The Tuchscherer/Smith team lost 8-4 to Jesse Brauer and Claudio Bravo.

The Cobber will return to action next weekend when they host St. Olaf on Saturday, February 21 at 9:00am in the Olson Forum. The team will then travel to Northfield to play at Carleton on Sunday, February 22 at 3:00pm.
