SAUK CENTRE-- Concordia posted identical team scores of 385 and finished sixth at the St. Ben's Invitational held at Greystone Golf Club in Sauk Centre, Minn. The Cobbers started the final day in fifth place but were passed by conference foe Augsburg after the Auggies shot a final round score of 361. St. Ben's won the tournament with a final team total of 695 (346-349).

For the sixth straight tournament of the season, Concordia was led by Katy Stevens (Sr., Colstrip, Mont./Colstrip HS). Stevens struggled in the second day of competition and finished at 181 (86-95). She started the final round in fifth place, but fell out of the top 10 when she couldn't keep her ball out of the hazard.

Katie Pietsch (Jr.,  Litchfield, Minn./Litchfield HS) finished as the next lowest Cobber. She ended with a 193 (98-95). Christie Brink (So., Forest Lake, Minn./Forest Lake HS) fired back-to-back 98's and was the team's third-place finisher. Karissa Evenson (Fr., Pelican Rapids, Minn./Pelican Rapids HS) was the most improved member of the Cobbers on the second day. After shooting an opening round score of 103, she came back and finished with a 97 to complete the two days at 200. 

Jessica Johnson (Clinton, Wash./South Whidbey HS) was the final member of the Cobbers. She shot 109 on the first day and 117 in the final round to complete the tournament with a score of 226.

Concordia will play in their final event of the fall next weekend when they participate in the MIAC Championship Meet. The tournament will be held on October 9-10 at Willinger's Golf Club in Northfield.
