 Myran Runs Over the Field
in the 1500 Meters at the Cobber Open.
Myran in two events on Saturday and finished in the top six in both. He methodically tore apart the field in the 1500 meters, winning by a full two seconds. Myran ran a 4:02.50 to win the 1500 meters. His time is seventh on the list of all-time performances in the 1500 meters by a Cobber athlete. It is also the fastest time posted in the MIAC this season. He also ran a 2:41.79 in the 1000-meter event and finished sixth. He was the only Cobber athlete to win an individual event at the meet. Ben Nylander, the other half of the Cobber distance dynamic duo, finished third in the race with a time of 4:05.65. Concordia placed two runners in the top four in the 600 meters. Kyle Halliday finished second in a time of 1:24.80. That mark is the fastest time in the MIAC this season. Unfortunately the event is not part of the MIAC Championship Meet. His time is also the ninth fastest time posted by any Concordia athlete in the history of the program. Rock Jantzen ran a 1:26.89 and finished fourth in the race. The Cobbers will travel to
St. John's to participate in the St. John's Alumni Invitational on Saturday,
February 12 at 11:00am. Concordia is gearing up to host the MIAC Indoor
