Cobbers win on the road at Augsburg 68-60; will play Macalester here Saturday at 1 p.m.

The Cobber women lost a 15 point lead which they enjoyed in the first half, but rallied to top Augsburg 68-60 on the road Wednesday night. The Auggies tied the score at 53-53 with just over five minutes left in the game, but the Cobbers scored 15 of the last 22 points and six straight free throws to secure the win..

Concordia improves to 5-1 on the year in the MIAC, 9-2 overall, and remains in third place behind St. Thomas and Bethel in the conference standings.

Ann Mehrkens led all Cobber scorers with 18 points in the game, Jodi Tulibaski added 12 points. Holly Zollar had a terrific all-around game for Concordia as she scored nine points, had nine rebounds, made five assists, and blocked one shot.

The Cobbers will play host to Macalester Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m. and will travel to St. Mary's Monday and St. Olaf Wednesday.
