According to Coach Doug Perry, the men's track team was hampered by injuries, but still managed to finish seventh in the conference with 10 men named all-conference.

Mark Lingle of Park Rapids, Minn. and James Lundstrom of Fargo, N.D.: and freshmen Brian Bruns of Walker, Minn.; Gregory DeFor of Bloomington, Minn.; Dennis Kashmark of Kandiyohi, Minn.; and Mark Olson of Newport, Ore.
