Volleyball team is ninth in MIAC

Under first-year coach Cindy Johnson, the Concordia women's volleyball team finished ninth in the MIAC Women's Division State Tournament, held at Macalester College, St. Paul, Nov. 9 and 10.

The Cobbers lost to Gustavus Adolphus, St. Peter, and to Macalester. They defeated St. Mary's, Winona and then lost to Bethel College, St. Paul. Co-captain Karen Johnson, senior from Kenyon, Minn., is the only graduating player on the team, which finished with a 16-21 overall record.
