Cross Country

The women's cross country team concluded their season with strong performances at conference and regional meets recently.

With four of five starters returning, the Cobber women placed second behind the College of St. Thomas, St. Paul, Minn., at the MIAC championship, held at the Como Golf Course, St. Paul, on Oct.29. The team then went on to place fourth at the National Collegiate Athletic Association Division III Central Region championship held at Luther College, Decorah, Iowa, on Nov.12.

Highlighting the season was Lynnette Dyrdahl, a senior from Kalispell, Mont.  Dyrdahl received all-conference honors in the MIAC and placed seventh at the conference meet. She finished 13th at the NCAA meet with a time of 19:07, which was 18 seconds off the time needed to qualify for national competition.
