Tim Lowry, Concordia's 6-4, 260 lb. offensive tackle, has been named a College Division II Coaches' All-American. Lowry, a senior from Sun River, Mont., and Simms High School, helped lead the Cobbers to a share of the 1995 MIAC football title and a berth in the NCAA Playoffs. Earlier, he was named first-team All-MIAC. Lowry is Concordia's 17th football All-American.

The American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) announced Lowry's selection today. The AFCA All-American team, formerly known as the Kodak All-America Team, is the most prestigious of the several NCAA Division III All-American teams. Team members for the AFCA's College Division II team are selected from NCAA Division III and NAIA Division II teams.

Running behind Lowry, the Cobbers led the MIAC in rushing (266 ypg), total offense (422 ypg) and scoring (36.1 ppg). Concordia's Eli Schuff won the MIAC rushing title and gained 1,145 yards rushing this year.

Lowry is a Physical Education and Health major at Concordia.
