Stacey Hoien baffled the Augsburg hitters which pitches like these all day long.
The Cobbers, 7-9 overall, 3-3 in the MIAC, had suffered five straight losses before they got back on the right track
Senior Stacey Hoien won both games and improved her record to 6-2. In game one, she went 2-for-3 including a two-run homer.
Junior Jen Carlson went 4-for-4 in game two with three RBI.
On Monday, the Cobs suffered two losses at the hands of NDSU. Concordia fell 9-0 in game one and 12-4 in game two.
On Sunday Concordia hosted St. Thomas, but they didnāt treat the Cobbers well, as Concordia lost a pair of one-run games.
In the first game, the two teams had to go to extra innings, but St. Thomas managed a 3-2 win in eight innings. Concordia tied the game at 2-2 in the bottom of the seventh. However, the Tommiesā Carrie Baumeister scored the winning run on Jennifer Keatingās single.
Hoien led the way for the Cobbers by going 3-for-4 at the plate. Unfortunately, she also took the loss.
In game two, the Lady Tommies managed more late inning heroics as they scored twice in the top of the seventh on Stacie Nielsonās two-run double to give them the 4-3 win.
Once again, Hoien was stuck with the decision. However, at the plate, she was 2-for-4 with two doubles and scored two runs.
