Mark Rice is in his 11th year, and second stint, as assistant men's hockey coach. He was the assistant from 1991 until 2000 before taking two years off to get married and start a family.
Mark, a 1987 Concordia graduate, was inducted into the Concordia
Athletic Hall of Fame in 2001.
After starring for Moorhead High School Mark went on to play at
Providence University before transferring to Concordia after his first
year, In his three years as a Cobber, Mark was named to the all-conference
team three times and was the MIAC MVP in his senior year.
He then went on to play professionally with the Minnesota North Stars before returning to Concordia to serve as an assistant coach.
Mark lives in Moorhead with his wife Rhonda and daughter Madeline.
