Women's softball team completes inaugural season
In the first game of the women's softball inaugural season, the team defeated Moorhead State University 5-3. The team compiled a 3-15 Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference record and a 6-16 overall record to place eighth in the conference.
"The future looks good for softball at Concordia," said coach Duane Siverson. "Injuries to key players during the year limited the team's potential, but the team's experience will grow," he said. Only two players graduated this year.
Joan Swanson '90, Moor head, led the team with a .477 batting average,
followed by Deborah Kammueller '90, Roseville, Minn., with a .412 record.
