Season is mixed for softball team
The Cobber softball team never quite got in sync this spring. The bats
were hot in only the first half of
the season, and pitching was solid in only the second half. The Cobbers
finished the season 9-15.
Junior shortstop Joan Swanson, Moorhead, had another outstanding year.
Hitting .350, she was named
to the all-conference team. Freshman Cathy Johnson, Milbank, S.D.,
showed promise by also hitting at
a .350 clip for the year.
