Concordia won 7-0 tonight at Augsburg to improve to 4-4 in the MIAC, 6-7 overall. Augsburg fell to 0-8 in the MIAC,  3-11 overall.

Game Summary:
MINNEAPOLIS (10/20/99) -- Eric Singer (Sr., Plymouth, Minn./Armstrong HS) and Josh Spaulding (Sr., Minnetonka, Minn./Wayzata HS) had two goals apiece Wednesday, leading the Concordia College-Moorhead men's soccer team to a 7-0 win over host Augsburg College in a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference contest at Anderson-Nelson Field.

Singer and Spaulding also added single assists each for the Cobbers, who controlled the action the entire game to improve to 6-7-1 overall and 4-4 in the MIAC. Augsburg drops to 3-11 overall and 0-8 in the MIAC.

Concordia led 5-0 at halftime, behind two goals from Spaulding and single goals from Gennard Lombardozzi (So., Billings, Mont./Billings West HS), Singer and Chad Bancher (Sr., Burnsville, Minn.). Micah Benson (Sr., Moorhead, Minn.) and Singer wrapped up the scoring for the Cobbers in the second half.

Concordia outshot the Auggies 13-7 in the contest. Nate Sollom (Fr., Fargo, N.D./North HS) made four saves in a shutout effort in the net for the Cobbers. Gustavuo Quintiliano (Jr., Brasilia, Brazil/Mound-Westonka HS) made five saves for the Auggies.

Concordia plays at the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs on Friday, while Augsburg next sees action with a home game against St. Mary's on Oct. 28.
