12/06 Concordia Falls Off in 2nd Half, Loses 82-56 to Augsburg.
It was a tale of two halves in Concordia's MIAC opening game. Concordia
was only down by two at halftime, 38-36, but then promptly went colder
than the December weather in the second half, and ended up losing 82-56
to Augsburg. The Cobbers shot a frigid 5-for-21 (.238) in the deciding
half after shooting a blistering 14-for-23 (.609) in the first half.The
Auggies went on a 12-0 run after the break and folowed it with a 12-2 stint
later in the half to seal the 26 point victory. The Cobbers were paced
by Joe
Snowden (Sr., St. Paul, MN) who finished with 22 points, and is averaging
22.8 points in the last four games. Trent Hagen (So, Pelican Rapids ) came
off the bench to add 11 points and a team high eight rebounds.
Concordia loses for the first time in four games, bringing their overall
record to 3-2. The Cobbers finally play at home, after starting the season
with five consecutive road games, when they host St. Olaf on Saturday
at 3:00.
