Scored a career high 29 points, and passed the 1,000 point milestone, in helping Concordia to a 97-64 victory over St. Kate's.

Concordia College women's basketball has one more member of the 1,000 point club. Brandi Myers (Sr., Glyndon, MN) sank a three-point basket with just under 10 seconds to go in the first half to eclipse the milestone. She becomes the 16th player in Cobber history to surpass that mark. She finished the game with a career high 29 points and helped the Cobbers outgun St. Kate's 97-64.

Concordia started strong and led 44-18 with under 10 minutes to go in the half when St. Kate's rallied and cut the deficit to 46-31 with 1:46 to go in the opening half. After coach Sara Cepek called timeout the Cobbers finished the half strong and went in to the break ahead by 20 at 55-35.

The teams continued to push the ball up the court and traded runs throughout the opening minutes of the second half. Concordia held onto the 20 point margin until late in the half when the strength of the Cobber bench wore down the Wildcats. For the gameConcordia's non-starters outscored St. Kate's non-starters 40-3. Kasey Bostow (So., Fargo, ND) led the bench brigade with 18 points and Steph Losch (Sr., Hallock, MN) continued to give the Cobbers solid minutes as she added 14.

Concordia, coming into the game shooting a paltry 68% from the free throw line shot an impressive 17-for-19 (.895) from the charity stripe. The Cobbers were 7-for-17 (.412) from 3-point range and 35-for-68 (.515) overall from the field.

The Cobbers keep a clean slate in the MIAC and vault to 4-0, 6-1 overall. St. Kate's remains winless on the year as they fall to 0-4 in the MIAC and 0-7 overall. Concordia will continue on the road as they travel to Carleton on Saturday the 6th and Gustavus on Monday the 8th. Game times are 5:30 for both contests.
