Cobbers Earn National Academic Honors.
The Concordia women's basketball team has been recognized as one of the top 25 academic institutions in NCAA Division III by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) for the 2001-02 season. The awards recognize the nation's highest team grade-point averages (GPA) for the 2001-02 season based upon nominations submitted by WBCA-member coaches.

The Cobbers finished with a team GPA of 3.418, which placed them 13th among all NCAA Division III basketball programs. There are over 415 schools that participate in NCAA Division III women's basketball. Concordia was one of the three schools from the MIAC to be awarded the prestigious honor.
