Chris Schumacher
Men's Cross Country Coach 1995 and 1996
Men's Cross Country Home | ![]() Chris Schumacher served as Concordia's head Men's Cross country coach in 1995 and 1996. He was also an assistant men's and women's track coach. Chris was also a faculty member in the Concordia Health and Physical Education Department and served as the director of the Cobber Club, one of Concoridia's health and fitness facilities. He earned his B.A. and M.A. at the University of Wisconsin LaCrosse. In the summer of 1997 he left Concordia to accept a position as head track coach at Illinois Wesleyan. 1996-97 was Chris' 11th year as an athlete or coach in Division III Track and Field and 6th year coaching at Concordia. During his four years as an athlete at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse he was a 2-time Wisconsin State University Conference Champion and a 3-time All-American in the triple jump. He has coached 8 individuals to conference titles in the long and/or triple jump, and 6 individuals earning 11 All American Honors, including 2 National Champions. |
