Women's golf team to pursue third MAIAW title.

The women's golf team, champions of the MAIAW in 1982 and 1983, had another successful season this fall. As a team, the Cobber women placed first in the Mankato State Invitational and second in the University of North Dakota Invitational, Grand Forks, and the Concordia Invitational. The women placed third at the Northern State Invitational, Aberdeen, S.D. Despite lower team scores than previous years, the Cobbers placed the medalists for each tournament. Annette Haugstul, a senior from Fosston, Minn., placed first in three out of four tournaments, while Jill Olafson, a senior from Wadena, Minn., received medalist honors in Aberdeen. Haugstul led the team with an 84.6 average for 18 holes and Olafson was second with an average score of 85.6.
