10/20 Concordia Shows Up Early, Stays Late, Defeats Whittier (CA) 2-1 in OT.
Concordia showed up for a 4:00 game, but due to a scheduling conflict the game didn't until  7:00, and went late into the California night to defeat Whittier 2-1. The Cobbers tied the score at 52:58, four minutes after the Poets went up 1-0. Kevin Roos (Jr., Fargo, ND)  played the ball through the back of the defense and Gennard Lombardozzi (Jr., Billings, MT)
broke free to slot the ball in the far corner. The Cobbers had several chances in regulation to  break free, but couldn't find the net and went to extra time even at 1. The overtime started  with Whittier going on the offensive but Concordia weatherd the storm and eight minute into  the extra period Jerry Nathan (Fr., Fargo, ND) broke the Poet defense on the wing, and
served the ball to Roos who headed the ball past the diving keeper.With the win, Concordia  improves to 8-5-2 on the year and wins on the road for the first time. The Cobbers conclude their California trip on Sunday when they play California Lutheran, who is ranked eighth in the West Region, at 3:30.
