Cobbers Dig Too Deep of a Hole, Fall 2-1 to St. Olaf.
Concordia allowed two first half goals, rallied with a late flourish, but was unable to score the tying goal late in the game and lost 2-1 to St. Olaf.

The Oles (2-0-1, 3-3-1) scored two goals 1:53 apart midway through the first half and held on to gain their second MIAC victory. The Cobbers (1-2-0, 5-2-0) pressed throughout the second half, and closed to within one when Brandon Topp (Jr., Fargo, N.Dak.) volleyed home his first goal of the season to make the score 2-1. Concordia upped the offensive pressure in the late stages of the game and came close to scoring when sophomore Jerry Nathan's (Fargo, N.Dak.) shot was cleared off the line by an Ole defender.

Concordia held the advantage in shots with a 19-11 margin. St. Olaf goaltender Ross MacMullan made 10 saves, while Cobber keeper Kris Overby (So., Fargo, N.Dak.) turned away six shots.

Concordia will host Hamline on Wednesday at 4:00.
