12/21 Dan Weiler Hired as New Women's Soccer Coach.
December 21, 2001 (Moorhead, Minn.) -- Concordia College - Moorhead athletic director Dr. Armin Pipho announced today that Dan Weiler has been named the new head women's soccer coach. Weiler has been an assistant coach for the men's and women's soccer programs at Concordia for the past two years. Weiler takes over from Jim Cella, who will continue to work as the head men's soccer coach and men's and women's soccer administrator. Weiler becomes the fifth head coach in the 20 years that Concordia has fielded a collegiate women's soccer program. Weiler, a Fargo native, is also the head girls' soccer coach at Fargo South High School (the girls' soccer season in North Dakota is played during the spring). In 1999 he guided the Bruins to the North Dakota State Championship and was also named the North Dakota "Coach of the Year". Prior to coming to Concordia, Dan served as the assistant coach for the Fargo South boys' team from 1997 - 1999. During that time the Bruins captured state titles in 1998 & 1999. Weiler is also a United States Soccer Federation (USSF) "B" license coach. | Complete Details | 11/15 Kendra Lee Named to the MIAC All-Conference Team.
