Concordia Sails Over UW-Superior
7-0.
Concordia scored four goals in the first 20 minutes of the game to
sail past UW-Superior 7-0.
Co-captain Chance Buzzell (Sr., Anoka, Minn.) set a new school record for assists in a game by assisting on four of the seven goals in the game. He also added the first goal to rack up six points in the game. Buzzell was bested on the scoring table by first year player Dustin Allard (Helena, Mont.) who tallied seven points on three goals and one assist. Cobber keeper Eric Dunn (Jr., Great Falls, Mont.) only had to make two saves in posting his second shutout of the season. It was the team's ninth shutout on the season, tying a school record for most shutouts in a single season.
Besides Buzzell and Allard the Cobbers also received goals from Kevin
Roos (Sr., Fargo, N.Dak.), Jason VanValkenburg (So., Fargo, N.Dak.) and
Zach Eidenschink (Fr., Detroit Lakes, Minn.). Concordia (10-3-0) outshot
the Yellowjackets (2-12-0) 37-2 on the day. The Cobbers will stay in Duluth
to play St. Scolastica on Sunday, October 21st at 1:00.
