Cobbers Tie For Title at St. Olaf Invitational.
Katie Martin (Jr., Bozeman, Mont.) won the individual championship and led Concordia to a share of the team championship at the St. Olaf Invitational in Northfield. The Cobbers team score of 63 equaled conference rival St. Thomas and was seven points better than three-time defending MIAC champion St. Olaf.

Martin's winning of of 18:56 defeated a stellar field, including 2000 NCAA Division III national fourth place finisher Kelly Faris of St. Thomas. Beth Moen (Andover, Minn.) placed in ninth with a time of 19:48. The other top finishers for Concordia were Lisa Owen (So., Minot, N.Dak.) who finished 18th, Jennifer St. John (Fr., Billings, Mont.) who was 20th and Liz Sorenson (Jr., McCluskey, N.Dak.) who was 22nd.
