Note: Coolers or food or beverages are not allowed to be brought onto the golf course. It would be appreciated if such items could be purchased from the clubhouse because of the substantial green fees reduction.

General Information
1. Attention
It is a condition of the competition that shoes with metal or traditionally designed spikes are prohibited as determined by WildFlower Golf Course. Penalty for breach of this rule is two strokes per hole, maximum of four strokes per round. Breach of the rule must be rectified prior to the next competitive round or the player will be disqualified.

2. Registration
Registration will take place on the patio outside the Golf Shop and will run from 12:30 - 1:15pm on Friday, 11:00 - 11:45am on Saturday. It is required of each Coach to register their team/players at this designated time.

3. Format
The Cobber Open will be an 18-hole stroke play event on September 5. The Cobber Invitational, September 6-7 will be a 36-hole stroke play event. For the team competition, a play 6 count 4 format will be used. For NCAA regulations, the Coach must designate his/her top 5 players. If this is not done, the first five players listed on the lineup sheet will be used for scoring purposes.

4. Tee Times
Tee times for Friday's competition will run from 1:30pm to 3:14pm. Saturday tee times will go from noon to 2:04pm. Final round will be a 9am shotgun, team pairings arranged by score. Notice to Participants and Pace of Play Guidelines will be provided to all participants. Please arrive to the starting tee 10 minutes before designated tee time.

5. Practice Facilities
The Driving Range will open for participants. Range balls can be purchased in the Golf Shop. A chipping green is available for use and is located left of the driving range tee.

                       Saturday 6:30am - close
                       Sunday 7:30am - close

6. Ties
In the event of ties in the team competition, the following procedure will be applied
1. The fifth player's total score shall be added
2. The sixth player's total score shall be added
In the event of ties in the individual competition, the following procedure will be applied:
1. Performance in Playoff
If a playoff is unfeasible the following procedure may be taken
1. Best total score for holes 10-18
2. Best total scone for holes 13-18
3. Best total score for holes 16-18
4. Best score on 18th hole

7. Inclement Weather
A suspension for a dangerous situation shall be signaled by one prolonged airhorn note, and all players shall be verbally informed by the Committee. A resumption of play shall be signaled by two short airhorn notes, repeated. All practice areas shall be closed during suspension for a dangerous situation until the Committee has declared them open.

8. Close of Competition
When all scores have been posted on the official scoreboard and approved by the Cobber Open Rules Committee, the results of the competition shall be deemed to have been announced and the competition officially closed.

9. Attire
All participants shall comply with the NCAA team uniform policy. Collared shirts/shirt with sleeves and reasonable length shorts are mandatory. Discretion as to what is acceptable is reserved for the tournament committee.

Play is governed by the 2000-01 Rules of Golf of the United States Golf Association, and where applicable, by the following Tournament Rules, Conditions, and Definitions. Appendix I refers to the Appendix of Locai Rules in the 2000-01 USGA Rules of Golf. Unless otherwise provided, penalty for breach of a Tournament or Local Rule is two strokes in stroke play or loss of hole in match play.

Tees:
All participants will be playing from the Green Tees

Yardage:
Yardages are measured to the center of the green

Local Rule:
Stones in bunkers are movable obstructions and player may proceed under rule 24-1. Rule 24-1 states if the bail lies in or on the obstruction, the ball may be lifted, without penalty, and the obstruction removed. The ball shall through the green or in a hazard be dropped as near as possible to the spot directly under Ihe place where the ball lay in or on the obstruction, but not nearer the hole.

Local Rule:
Wlldgrass (long grass) areas will be played as a lateral hazard when the ball is lost in the wildgrass or the ball is deemed unplayable. If the ball is played the club may be grounded. If relief is a chosen option a player may proceed under Rule 26.

Advice (Rule 8) is any counsel or suggestion which could influence a player in determining her play, the choice or the method of making a stroke. Any conversation between a player and parent/spectator during the round may be construed as a violation of rule 8. Players are responsible for the actions of their
parents and spectators in regard to this rule. NCAA regulations allow communication between coach and players only; all communications are prohibited on greens bunkers.

Out of Bounds:
Out of Bounds is defined by the inside edge of white posts, fences andlor in the absence of the previous white lines.

The following are pertaining boundaries on Wildflower golf course Hole #5, 6, 8, 9,12,13,15,16, inside edge offence posts on left.

Doubt of Procedure:
Rule 3-3, in stroke play only, when during the play of a hole a
competitor is doubtful of her rights or procedure, she may, without penalty, play a second ball. After the situation which caused the doubt has arisen, the competitor should, before taking further action, announce to her marker or fellow-competitor her decision to invoke this Rule and the ball with which he will score if the Rules permit. The competitor shall report the facts to the Committee before returning her
scorecard unless she scores the same with both balls; if she fails to do so, she shall be disqualified.

Free Drops:
For the following areas relief will be given
- Large rocks defining 150 yards to center of the green (relief from stance and/or swing only)
- From #15 green if you elect not to putt
- Newly sodded areas

Penalty Structure:

A group is considered out of position and subject to penalty when both of the following occur:

1. The group reaches a tee and there is an open par 3 or par 4 or when the preceding group is on the putting green of a par 5.
2. The group has exceeded the time allotted according to the above chart.
Note: the first, second and third groups of the day are considered out of position when they exceed the time allotted for play.

Groups will be notified following their tee shots on the following hole that they are out of position. This is the official warning and players will be timed.

Players will be given 40 seconds to play each stroke once it 5 their turn to play without distraction or interference. A player will be given an individual warning if they exceed the 40 seconds. The second bad time will result in a one-stroke penalty.
The third bad time will result in a two-stroke penalty. Any subsequent bad times will result in disqualification. Bad times are progressive and will accumulate throughout each round.
