Crouse was named offensive MIAC player of the week for his performance against Macalester. Crouse rushed the ball for 144 yards on 37 carries and scored two touchdowns. His 144 yard total accounted for 38% of the total offense for the Cobbers.

Crouse returns for his third year as the starting Cobber fullback. He is one of the premier running backs in the MIAC. He led the '98 Cobbers with 611 rushing yards and 4.3 per carry. He was 5th in the MIAC in rushing in 1998 with 550 yards on 126 carries, a 4.37 yards per carrie average. He enters the season with 1175 career rushing yards and a 4.4 ypc career average.

12/16/97 Len was named a Co-Freshman MVP of the 1997 Cobber football team at the team's annual awards banquet last night. The Freshman MVP is chosen by a vote of the team. The other Co-Freshman MVP for 1997 is Marcus Ludtke .
