1999 Cobber Preview:
The Cobbers are looking to rebound from a 4-6 season
in 1998,4-5 in the MIAC. It was just the
second losing season for the Cobbers since 1985.
Concordia returns two All-MIAC performers from last year's team, senior
offensive lineman Jake Estenson and senior
kicker/punter, Clayton Horgen.
Horgen led the MIAC last year with a 40.65 average on 54 punts . Coach
Jim
Christpherson, entering his 31st season
with a 208-91-7 record, is hoping Horgen won't have to punt as
often in 1999.
Cobber captains for 1999 are Estenson and
defensive end Nels Paulson
.
Concordia expects to have ten
players with experience as starters back on defense and eight back on offense.
