12/14/98 Zacher named MVP, Jake Estenson and Nels Paulson are '99 captains
Concordia senior Bob Zacher, from Alexandria, was named the 1998 Cobber Football MVP at the team's annual awards banquet tonight. Zacher, a three year starter at center, had earlier been named a GTE Academic All-American and a first team All-MIAC selection. Freshman Travis Olson, a defensive back from Hawley, received the Outstanding Freshman award. Juniors Jake Estenson and Nels Paulson were named 1999 team captains. Estenson, from Rice Lake, Wisconsin, earned first team All-MIAC honors in 1998 as an offensive tackle. Paulson, from Cambridge, Minnesota, played at both linebacker and defensive end this past year. 12/8/98 Concordia's Bob Zacher named
