11/25/97 Concordia 61 vs Moorhead St.  73 At Concordia
James Gillhouse had 23 points for the Cobbers and Micah Benson added 10 tonight. But the Cobbers shot 6-15 from the line and were out rebounded 19-5 on the offensive boards as  Moorhead State broke away in the second half. The Cobbers trailed 36-33 at the half but went ahead 41-40 early in the second half before Moorhead State went on a 14-4 run.

About the Cobbers
A young Concordia team enters tonightâs game at 1-1 after taking third at the Lakeland (Wis.) Tournament over the weekend. The Cobbers lost 73-68 to Viterbo in the tourney opener Friday and then beat host Lakeland 64-61 Saturday . Cobber freshman forward Mike Wrobel earned All-Tournament honors with 27 points and 14 rebounds for the weekend. Senior guard Trevor Peterson had 28 points for the weekend, including six 3-pointers.  Senior co-captain Jim Gillhouse had 14 points and 10 rebounds for the weekend.

About the Dragons
Moorhead St. is 1-2 on the year. After a season opening loss to Michigan Tech the Dragons lost 75-73 at Mankato State last Friday and then picked up a 83-75 win over Mt. Senario on 
Saturday.  Shooting guard Greg Duke is back in his old groove. He scored 49 points in the two games last weekend at the Mankato Tournament.  The Dragons were 8-19 last year, 3-9 in the NSIC. 

Game notes:
This is the 167th meeting between these two teams. Moorhead State leads the series 88-78.  The Dragons won last yearâs matchup 92-81 at Moorhead State.  The only returning Cobber to play in that game is Alex Bjork. Bjork has been out of practice since Oct. 26 with a broken bone in his hand. He is not expected to return to action until next week.
