3/2/98 Mike Wrobel named to MIAC All-First Year Student Team.
Cobber Freshman Mike Wrobel , a 6-6 forward
from Willmar, was one of five players named today to the MIAC's
All Freshmen Men's basketball team. Mike led the 1997-98 Cobbers
in rebounding with 6.9 per game and was the Cobbers' third leading scorer
with 9.3 ppg. He had the highest scoring average and highest rebounding
average of any Cobber freshman in the 1990's.
12/8/97 Mike earned a starting post position with his non-conference
play. He was named to the All-Tournament team in the Cobbers'
tournament at Lakeland College Nov. 21-22. He had 20
points in a 12/8/97 loss to St. John's.
