12/13 Concordia (0-3, 1-6) Lost 82-65 here to unbeaten Carleton (3-0,
 7-0) today in the Cobbers' final game before Christmas. The game was
 tied 34-34 at the half. The Cobbers trailed 55-51 with 7:40 left in the
 game.
 
 Concordia was led by Brian Kesselring's 16
 points. Trevor Peterson had 13 and Jim Gillhouse
 added 11 before fouling out. Josh Willhelm led
 Carleton with 26 points. Paul Novotny added 16
 and Ryan Retzlaff had 14.

About the Cobbers
The Cobbers enter todayâs game at 0-2 in the MIAC, 1-5 overall, after losing 77-71 to St. Johnâs here Monday and 78-54 at Gustavus on Wednesday.  The Cobbers trailed St. Johnâs 72-71 with 40 seconds to play but were unable to get over the hump. At Gustavus the Cobbers led 21-20 in the first half and trailed 33-25 at the half. But a strong run by the Gusties to start the second half put the game away and left Gustavus at 5-0 for the year.

The Cobbers were led by Jim Gillhouseâs  21 points in the loss to St. Johnâs. Mike Wrobel had 20.  At Gustavus, Troy Becker came off the bench to post a career high 11 points.  Becker is the 8th Cobber to post a double-figures scoring game this year.

Injury Notes:
Wade Sirny underwent knee surgery  recently and his return date is uncertain. Nate Malchow injured a knee in the Crookston game and underwent surgery on Thursday. He is expected back after Christmas.

About the Carleton Knights
Carleton comes into tonightâs game having lived up to  pre-season expectations that they would be one of the MIAC favorites. Carleton is 6-0 on the year, 2-0 in the MIAC. The Knights, with 4 returning starters,  are led by pre-season All-American Josh Wilhelm. Wilhelm, a 6-8 junior, recently scored his 1000th point for Carleton and comes in averaging 17 points per game.
