All five Concordia golfers finished under 80, and as a team, the Cobbers finished the USD Coyote Invite in third place - just six strokes behind team leader MSU-Mankato. The Cobbers were lead by all-conference sophomore Carl Hunt (Crookston, Minn./Crookston HS) who fired a 75 (37-38) and finished tied for sixth. Hunt was five strokes behind leader Jason Pendleton of MSU-Mankato, who shot an even-par 72. Jason Christianson (Clinton, Minn./C-G-B HS) was two shots back of Hunt after shooting a 77 (39-38). A pair of Cobbers shot 78, but both had much different rounds. Adam Hanson (Sr., Barrett, Minn./West Central Area HS) shot a 35 on the front side, the second lowest total on the front 9, then limped home with a 43 on the second nine. First-year golfer Cole Hornstein (Fargo, N.Dak./Fargo South HS) played to a consistent 38-40 over both sides. Mike Lundberg (Fr., White Bear Lake, Minn./White Bear Lake HS) rounded out the top five for Concordia by shooting a 79 (38-41). 10/5 Cobbers Finish Fourth at Hotly-Contested
MIAC Championships.
Concordia fired a two-day, rain-shortended total of 458 (157-301), which was good for fourth place, and only five strokes out of first place, in one of the most closely contested MIAC Championship Meets in history. The Cobbers finished five shots behind MIAC champion Gustavus, three behind runner-up St. John's and only one shot in back of third place St. Thomas. Adam Hanson (Sr., Barrett, Minn.) shook off a season-long slump and shot a 112 (36-76) which earned him runner-up and all-conference honors. It is the second straight year that Hanson has earned All-MIAC honors. Two other Cobber golfers earned all-conference honors for the first time in their careers. Sophomore Carl Hunt (Crookston, Minn.) and Mike Lundberg (Fr., White Bear Lake, Minn.) both shot a 115 which tied them for ninth place in the overall standings. First-year golfer Cole Hornstein (Fargo, N.Dak.) missed all-conference honors by a single stroke shooting a 116 (42-74), which placed him in a tie for 13th. 10/4 Cobbers Tied for Third After Day 1 of

Concordia fell off their fifth-place pace of Day 1, finishing in 10th place at the Irv Kaiser - NDSU Invitational. The Cobbers were again led by Carl Hunt (So., Crookston, Minn.) who shot his second straight 73 to finish tied for third place in the individual standings. The other Cobber leader on Day 2 was Cole Hornstein (Fr., Fargo, N.Dak.) who improved on his Day 1 77 with a 75 on Day 2. Rounding out the Cobbers attack were Adam Hanson (Sr., Barrett, Minn.) with an 85, and Adam Beliveau (Jr., Alexandria, Minn.) and Jason Christianson (Sr., Clinton, Minn.) both with 84. The Cobber Maroon team dropped to finish the tournament in 16th place. Adam Severson (Fr., Sioux Falls, S.Dak) led the maroon team with a 79 on the second day. The Cobbers continue the fall season next Friday-Saturday, Sept. 19-20, at the UND Invitational. 9/12 Cobbers in Fifth Place After Day 1 at the Irv Kaiser-NDSU Invite.
Concordia shot a season-best team round of 302 to finish in fifth place after the first day of the Irv Kaiser - NDSU Invitational. The Cobbers were led by sophomore Carl Hunt (Crookston, Minn.) who fired a one over par 73 to finish tied for fifth. All five of Concordia's gold team shot under 80. Adam Hanson (Barrett, Minn.) and Jason Christianson shot 76, while Cole Hornstein (Fr., Fargo, N.Dak.) fired a 77 and Adam Beliveau (Jr., Alexandria, Minn.) finished with a 79. Concordia's maroon team finished the day in 14th place, shooting a 319. Mike Lundberg (White Bear Lake, Minn.) paced the maroons with a 79.
