Cobbers Move up behind Keating
New head coach Garrick Larson and senior Bill Keating (ā98, Fargo) teamed up with a strong group of underclassmen to help the Cobbers move from 11th to 7th in the MIAC.
Keating
placed 2nd in the MIACās individual competition
and posted 5 other top-ten finishes in fall meets.
Three Cobber men runners earned Academic All-MIAC: Dan Bjerknes ('99, Thief River Falls), John Staub ('98, Sisseton, SD), Nathan Voxland ('99, Moorhead).
12/1 Cobbers Earn Fall Academic All-MIAC Honors
11/15 Today's Central Regional Complete Results The Cobbers were 12th out of 26 teams, their highest team finish at Regionals since 1983. Bill Keating finished 30th in 165 person field.

Men's Cross Country Meet. Improved Cobbers finish 7th in 11-team

1997 Preview: Cross Country Team Works on Building
Garrick Larson, head men's track coach since 1993, took over the Head Men's Cross Country coaching duties in 1997.
The 1996 Cobber men's cross country team, which tied for 10th at the MIAC Meet, was youthful. With a strong freshman class and the return of upperclassmen Bill Keating, Sr, John Staub, Sr, and Josh Lowman, Jr, Concordia expects to move up in the MIAC and NCAA Central Region this fall.
