Baseball Tabs 11-Year Professional as New Assistant Coach.
(Moorhead, Minn.)-- Concordia head baseball coach Bucky Burgau has announced that 11-year professional baseball player Steve Montgomery has been named the new assistant coach. He replaces John Duffy who left to take the assistant coaching position at NCAA Division I member La Salle University.

Montgomery brings a wealth of baseball experience to the Cobbers, having played professionally for the past 11 years. Most recently he was a member of the Fargo-Moorhead Redhawks, which won the Northern League Championship in 2003. He has played on three different teams that have won league championships.

He started his professional baseball career with the Kansas City Royals in 1993. He was signed by the Royals as a free agent and played for the Gulf Coast League Royals in his initial season of major league baseball.(More)

Augsburg (2-7-2, 0-2-1) responded less than two minutes later when Steve Collova scored an even-strength goal at the 2:58 mark. The offensive outburst was in sharp contrast to the numbers put up by the teams entering the game.
