Sam was named the MIAC hitter of the week for her solid performance in Concordia's four game win against Bethel College. In the match Scariano hit .457 and averaged 6.0 kills per game, 2.5 blocks per game, and 2.7 digs per game. It was Bethel's first conference loss of the year, and helped the Cobbers stop a four game conference losing streak.
