12/5 Concordian Wrap-Up Story See Also Earlier Weekly Headlines Volleyball Takes 3rd in MIAC
The Cobber volleyball team went 8-3 in the MIAC regular season, finished 3rd at the MIAC Tournament, and ended up one game away from advancing to the NCAA Tournament for a third consecutive year. All-MIAC hitters Laura Reitmeier (’99 Fisher) and Anne Larson (’00 Fargo) led the Cobber attack, with help from 2nd team All-MIAC setter Nicole Vetter (’00 West Fargo). Reitmeier also earned All-Region honors for the second consecutive year. Reitmeier and Larson
led a group of six Cobbers who earned Academic
All-MIAC honors, including:

The MIAC regular season represents one half of the MIAC title hunt. The MIAC tournament Nov. 7-8 is the other half. A first or second place finish at the MIAC tournament could get the
Cobbers one of the six Central Region NCAA Tournament bids, even though
the Cobbers are not currently ranked in the top 8 of the
region.

and seven blocks to lead the Cobbers.
Concordia hosts Gustavus Friday, Oct 17 at 7:00 and defending MIAC champion St. Olaf Saturday at 3:00. 10/8 Cobbers beat Bethel 3-1, 16-14, 15-9, 12-15, 17-15. Cobbers now 5-1 in MIAC. The Cobbers resume MIAC play this week when they travel to St. Katherine on Wednesday for a 7:30 match. Concordia is now 4-4 overall, 1-0 in the MIAC. 9/19 Cobbers split in first day at Nebraska Wesleyan Tourney
The Cobbers fell to Central 15-5 15-5 15-2. Central came into the tournament as the region's No. 3 ranked team. The Cobbers were 5th. Concordia came back to beat Coe 15-8 15-9 15-9. The Cobbers are now
