Earlier, Concordia, led by tournament medalist Strecker,
captured their second consecutive Minnesota State
College Golf Tournament. Concordia's spring success came on the
heals of last fall's MIAC Championship, their
6th
title in the tourney's 7 years of existence.
5/11 Christie Strecker was named a second team Division II-III All-American today by the National Golf Coaches Association.

12/8/97 Cobbers ranked 4th in first National Division III Poll MIAC title in 7 Years The Cobber Women's Golf team won 4 fall tournaments, including their sixth MIAC Championship in the past seven years. All six Cobbers at the MIAC Championship Meet finished in the tourneyâs top-ten and earned All-MIAC honors: Jill Carlin (â98 Fosston ), Jenny Dick (â98 Rochester), Kristen Hanson (Î99 Fosston), Nicole Koskey (â99 Princeton), Christie Strecker (Î00 Albert Lea), and Kari Weidner (â00 Fargo).
Christie Strecker (â00, Albert Lea) was 6th at the MIAC, earned her second All-MIAC award, was named Academic All-MIAC and led Womenâs Golf in scoring. Jenny Dick (â98, Rochester) finished 8th at the MIAC, was the second leading scorer on the team, earned her third All-MIAC award and was named Academic All-MIAC for a second time. Jill Carlin (â98, Fosston) finished second at the MIAC Womenâs Golf Championship and earned her third All-MIAC award. Juli Johanson (Î00 Osakis) joined teammates

12/1 Cobbers Earn Fall Academic All-MIAC Honors 10/12 Cobbers Win's 6th MIAC title in 7 years. All-six Cobber golfers place in top ten and earn All-MIAC honors. 10/11 Cobbers post 32 stroke advantage after first day of MIAC Championship 10/6 Cobbers preparing for MIAC Meet Oct 11-12 in Northfield, looking for 6th win in seven years of MIAC Tournaments. 1997 Bison Classic by 10 strokes over the University of North Dakota
Sunday at the Fargo Country Club today. The Cobbers finished
the 18-hole tournament with a score of 336. UND was second
at 346 followed by North Dakota State (360), Moorhead State (368) and Northern
State (378).
9/27 Cobbers 2nd at Moorhead State Invite 9/20/97 Cobbers take 3rd at two-day SDSU Invitational 9/14/97 Cobbers capture Cobber Invitational at Wild Flower by 1 stroke over UND 9/6/97 The Cobbers placed 7th at the 14-team Buena Vista Invitational in Storm Lake Iowa today. Concordia shot 338, ten shots behind tounament winners Simpson and Gustavus. Kari Weidner led the Cobbers with an 83. 9/5/97
