Cobbers Top SCSU Club Team 5-1.
After skating to a 1-1 tie after one period, the Cobbers fired off four unanswered goals, including three by Lindsay Kurtis (So., Phoenix, Ariz.), to finish with a 5-1 victory. Christine Kleven (Sr., Red Lake Falls, Minn.) opened the scoring at 14:03 of the first period, and SCSU's Brenda Schute answered just over a minute later to finish the first tied at 1.

Kurtis accounted for both second period goals, at 8:53 and 14:19, and the first of the third period, at 6:02. Annie Knierim (Jr., Glasgow, Mont.) finished the scoring at 10:26. Picking up assists for the Cobbers were Anna Grafstrom (Sr., Roseau, Minn.) with 2, Jenai Estrada (So., Moreno Valley, Calif.) with 2, Sandra Rydén (Sr., Jonstorp, Sweden) with 2, and Annie Knierim (Jr., Glasgow, Mont.) with 1. Goalie Shyla Wilson (Jr., Cohasset, Minn.) saved 15 of the 16 shots put up against her.

The two teams meat again Saturday at 2:00 at the Moorhead Sports Center North Rink.
