Cobbers Thrive at St. Olaf Open.
The Concordia wrestling team kicked off the 2001-02 schedule by succeeding at the St. Olaf Open. The Cobbers placed seven wrestlers in the top three of their different weight classes. The highlight of the meet for Concordia was first year wrestler Dennis Kline (Plymouth, Minn.) capturing the crown at the 197 pound weight class. Other top Cobber finishers included second place finishes by Zack Schroeder (Sr., Breckenridge, Minn.) at 141, Rory Olson  (Sr., Wadena, Minn.) at 157, and Peter Benson (Fr., Murdock, Minn.) at 174. Third place winners were Matt Lessard (Fr., Crookston, Minn.) at 125, Aaron Swartz (Sr., Starbuck, Minn.) at 133 and Ryan Smith (Sr., Brainerd, Minn.) at 149.
