Cobbers Compete at SCSU Invite.

Lee Rahrlien Fr. Graceville, Minn. Advanced to the quarterfinals in the St. Cloud State Invite.

Concordia sent nine wrestlers to compete at one of the premiere wrestling invitationals in the area. The Cobbers took part in the 2002 St. Cloud State Invitational held on the campus of St. Cloud State.

Three Concordia wrestlers made it to the quarterfinals of their weight classes. Cory Winter (Jr., Cannon Falls, Minn.) wrestled his way into the quarters in the 149lb division, Lee Rahrlien (Fr., Graceville, Minn.) advanced to the final eight in the 165lb class and William Duppler (So., Valley City, N.Dak.) advanced in the heavyweight division.

Winter defeated Dana Dargatz of Northern State 10-8 in the first round and then lost to Kyle Nay of  Dickinson State. Rahrlien beat Carl Hansen of the University of Mary before falling to Billy Morgan of Augsburg. Duppler lost to eventual runner-up baron Blanchard of Northern State after soundly defeating Jimmy Winter 10-0 in his opening match.

Concordia will have a break over the Christmas holiday. Their next action will be on January 11th at the Dickinson Open.
