Concordia lost their season opener 73-68 tonight to Viterbo at the Lakeland College Tournament in Sheboygan Wisconsin. The Cobbers will play host Lakeland on Saturday in the third place game. Lakeland lost to Cardinal Strich 81-67 in tonight's second game.

The Cobbers led 35-33 at the half but Viterbo hit three straight 3 pointers to open the second half. They held a 6 to 10 point lead the rest of the way. Viterbo made 30 of 37 free trows. Concordia made 10 of 14.

Concordia was led in scoring by Trevor Peterson's 14 points. He had help in 13 points by Brian Kesselring and 12 from Phil Wishart. Freshman Mike Wrobel had 8 points and led the Cobbers with 10 rebounds. See Box Score

Concordia picked up their first win of the year tonight as the claimed third place at the Lakeland College Tournament. The Cobbers led 27-23 at the half, and then built the lead to 57-45 with 5 mnutes left before a furious Lakeland comback cut it to the final margin. Concordia was led by freshman Mike Wrobel's 19 points. Trevor Peterson added 13 and Micah Benson had 12. Wrobel was named to the all-tournament team.
