New Head Coach Mike Carroll is excited about returning the top three scorers and 12 other regulars from a team that finished with a record of 19-7-0, tied for the MIAC title and was ranked second in the final Division III Coaches’ Poll last year.  Key returners include MIAC Player of the Year Sarah Garrison, a sophomore forward who scored 24 goals last season, Carrie Stefaniak, an all-conference forward who tallied 18 goals and 15 assists and Linnea Carlson, a sophomore defender who also contributed offensively scoring 14 goals and dishing off 16 assists.

The big question will be at goaltender  where Coach Carroll will be looking for either senior Amanda Reed or sophomore Sarah Pinkham to step into the starting role after seeing limited playing time last year.  Jen Zywotko, who compiled a record of 19-7-0 for the Gusties last season decided not return to school.  The team will also be looking to replace all-conference forward Noelle Skalko (16 g, 13a, 29 pts) who decided not  to play this year.

Despite the losses of Zywotko and Skalko, the team still returns a deep and talented squad to join Garrison, Stefaniak and Linnea Carlson.  Offensively, other top returners include sophomore forwards Nikki Norton (8g, 12a, 20 pts), Nikki Lindstrom (10g, 5a, 15 pts), and Alyssa Stanley (3g, 12a, 15 pts) and junior forward Michelle Zaske (7g, 6a, 13 pts).  Defensively, top returners include all-conference selection Ann Marie Giefer (11g, 14a, 25 pts), and sophomores Katie Carlson (2g, 1a, 3 pts) and Jennifer McCall (1g, 3a, 4 pts).
