Kicker/Punter Clayton Horgen became Concordia's third leading career scorer with 183 points and career punting leader with a 38 yard average.

Clayton is entering his fourth season as the Cobbers' starting place kicker and punter. He earned 1998 all-MIAC honors and led the MIAC in punting in 1998 with a 40.65 average.  He finished 9th in 1998 among all NCAA Division III punters with a 40.4 average.  He also connected on 9 of 11 field goal attempts in 1998 with a long of 42. Clayton also earned all-MIAC and All Region honors in baseball in 1999.

Special Teams Player of the Week

Concordia's Clayton Horgen, Jr., Fergus Falls, had 7 punts for a 41.6 yard average in Saturday's 38-0 win over Hamline. He had 2 punts of 54 yards. He also connected on a 37 yard field goal in the second quarter to give the Cobbers a 17-0 lead and was 5-5 on PAT kicks. He has a season average of 40.4 yards punting, with 7 inside the 20, and entered Saturday's game as the league's top punter.
