Game Story
10/27 Concordia Runs Past Carleton 35-0.
The Cobbers racked up 22 second quarter points en route to a 35-0 victory
over winless Carleton. The Cobbers piled up 527 yards of total offense,
including an impressive 400 yards rushing. The Knights finished with just
210 total yards.
Quarterback Ryan Hebrink (So, Sacred Heart, Minn.) was the star for the Cobbers, scoring 3 touchdowns on the ground and throwing for another. He finished with 166 rushing yards on just 16 carries, and completed 7 of 16 passes for 117 yards.
Hebrink got the scoring started midway through the first quarter, putting
the Cobbers up 6-0 on a 32 yard touchdown run. He scored again, from 39
yards out, with 10:56 left in the second quarter, and passed for a two-point
conversion, making the score 14-0. Five minutes later, Hebrink passed to
Joel
Ferrie (Sr, Moorhead, Minn.) for a 17 yard score, pushing the score to
20-0. The Cobbers went into halftime with a 28-0 lead as Hebrink pushed
the ball in from one yard out in the closing seconds of the half, and completed
another pass for his second two-point conversion of the half. The Cobbers
finished out the scoring at 35-0 with 10:55 left in the third quarter,
as Robert Clark ran in from two yards out.
